Using the back-side dual 12" or single 16" inlet, these units can be specially configured to recirculate (return air) in a structure vs just drawing fresh air from an outside colder source. Being able to reheat and recirculate air from within an enclosed area can have a major impact on operating costs such as fuel. This setup provides an overall increase in efficiency of 30-50%. This efficiency is important when considering a 400,000 BTU heater running at full capacity can draw up to 11.1 litres of fuel per hour.
